Let the World Bookmark your Webpages

Having a LinkDoozer Bookmark icon lets people add your pages to their LinkDoozer account at the click of a button.

It's simple to add a LinkDoozer Bookmark icon to any Webpage - just copy & paste the following code into your page:

<a href="javascript: void(open('http://www.linkdoozer.com/account.php?name=' + escape(document.title) + '&close=on' + '&url=' + escape(location.href),'LinkDoozer',' height=300, width=450, location=no, scrollbars=yes, menubar=yes, toolbar=yes, directories=no, resizable=yes'));" ><img src="http://www.linkdoozer.com/doozer_icon.png" alt="Doozermark Me" title="Doozermark this Page" border="0" /></a>

If you would prefer not to use Javascript then you can add the LinkDoozer Bookmark icon manually. Copy and paste the following code into your Webpage and alter the url argument (shown in bold) to match the url of your page:

<a href="http://www.linkdoozer.com/account.php?url=fullurl"> <img src="http://www.linkdoozer.com/doozer_icon.png" alt="Doozer Me" title="Doozer this Page" border="0" /></a>

That's it! We'll take care of the rest...

Troubleshooting Bookmarks/Favorites Import

The first thing you need to do if you experience difficulty in adding your current favorites to LinkDoozer is UPGRADE YOUR BROWSER!

If you are not using a recent version of FireFox or Internet Explorer then it is likely that the bookmarks/favorites file that is generated by these browsers is not correctly formatted.

Upgrading your browser is quick and easy and you may as well do it sooner rather than later. LinkDoozer recommends FireFox for optimal browsing, or alternatively, you can upgrade to Internet Explorer 7 or higher.

If upgrading your browser does not resolve the problem, please view the Help section...

Display More Recommendations

If you find that the number or variety of sites displayed in the recommendation box is limited, or are already saved in your account then you can broaden your horizons by ensuring that your category name is intuitive and generic.

The recommendations are based on the popularity of sites in the same category as the one you clicked on. If your category name is something unusual that will not be used by other people (i.e. Xavier's very own x-men journals) then you are limiting yourself to only those sites held in your own particular category.

Check the Doozer Categories page to see whether or not a similar, more generic category exists (i.e. journals or blogs) and change the name of your category to match that one. Now all the combined sites within that category will be available for recommendation.

If there is no suitable match then ensure that you make your own category names generic and intuitive so that others can match their categories to yours.

About us

LinkDoozer started in 2007 in an attempt to avoid getting on with real work!

The idea behind the site was to provide a perfectly democratic way for people to search and research websites and pages on the Internet. LinkDoozer's distinctive approach improves on the standard Search engine model because it shows you what other people are using and not what companies pay SEO experts big bucks for you to be shown.

All seriousness aside, anyone and everyone should find LinkDoozer a fun and easy place to store, view and compare their favorite websites. Even if you aren't into sharing reviews and ratings or swapping notes with friends, LinkDoozer can make things easy for you by providing a great visual and connected favorites folder.

In fact, having an interactive favorites folder is something I personally have needed for a long time - its one of the reasons I built the site.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my efforts and I look forward to hearing your suggestions about how to make LinkDoozer your perfect online companion!

Happy Doozing...
