Every now and then you come across a website and slap yourself on the forehead for not thinking of the idea yourself. Quirky is just such a site. It makes it super easy to get those"big ideas" off your chest and into the realy world. What's more you stand to profit from your ideas as Quirky takes them and gets them to market.

Ok, so there's a bit of a process to it. First you need to submit your idea and describe a bit about it. This initial stage is really quick and easy, but it does cost $10 to submit the idea - that's not too bad considering you could make it back with a significant amount of change. Next, the idea is bounced around the Quirky community and if it does well, the Quirky staff take it on board.

Assuming your idea gets turned into a saleable product, you are entitled to a fairly good percentage of the revenue - around ten percent at the end of the day. Since you only have to come up with the bright idea in the first place, that's really not too bad.
