I spend a lot of time scribbling ideas onto bits of paper. I suspect I work on paper because it is quicker to draw out mind maps by hand than to do them on the computer. All that's changed with mindmeister though. It's a super quick and easy, collaborative mind mapping tool that makes it easy to flesh out ideas or processes and share that with friends and colleagues.

One of the features that makes mindmeister so appealing is their real time "brainstorming" mode that shows changes made by one or more people instantly to anyone else working on the same mind map - without having to refresh the page. This makes for some seriously powerful, global brainstorming.

mindmeister has applications for a lot of different people including businesses, students and entrepreneurs and other individuals. The brainstorming and mapping tools can be used in a number of different ways including studying, accounting planning, project and meeting managements, organization and so on.

There are free accounts for you to try out the service and learn what it has to offer. The free account is limited to only 3 mind maps but you can share and collaborate on those so it is pretty full-featured. After that you are looking at $59 per year or $9 per person per month for a business account.
