Steven George Gerrard is an English football player with Liverpool F.C. Gerrard wears the number 8 shirt for Liverpool and is currently the club captain. He is usually employed in a central midfield role and occasionally he has played as a right back or striker. Fernando José Torres Sanz is a Spanish footballer who plays for English premiership league club Liverpool and the Spanish national team as their striker. He joined Liverpool in 2007, after the club paid their record transfer fee to sign him and marked his first season with the club by being their first player to score more than 20 league goals for the club in a season since Robbie Fowler in 1995-1996. Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro is a Portuguese football player who plays as a winger for English club Manchester United and the Portuguese national team. Manchester United, 2007-2008, was his best yet as he retained the Premier League and won his first UEFA Champions League, the highest European club honour. Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor is a Togolese football player of Nigerian descent who plays for Arsenal as a striker. He signed for Arsenal for an undisclosed fee reported to be £3m. Although Arsenal finished the season empty handed, he ended the season tied with Fernando Torres for the Golden Boot. He was named in the PFA Team of the year. Frank James Lampard, Jr. is an English football midfielder currently playing for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national team. He plays most often as a box-to-box midfielder and has also enjoyed spells in a more advanced attacking midfield role.
